The ingredients in the smoothies I have here with me are carefully chosen to flood your body with nutrients! And I won’t be using any expensive supplements or exotic powders. Just a few vegetables and fruits you may already have in your fridge!
These smoothies will be the best way to maintain an healthy renal diet and maybe to start a kidney detox, so you can improve your kidney function and lower your creatinine levels!
Also I’m gonna show you if there’s potassium or protein so you can make the best of them for your renal diet!
You won’t need to add unhealthy sugars or dangerous sweeteners in these smoothies because they are already tasty!
So there’s not a second to waste, let’s see what our first kidney friendly smoothie ingredients are and let’s make it!
Our number 5 is great for an healthy breakfast, with vitamins and enzymes that will improve your digestion and help you with blood pressure and heart health! Yes, it’s a real kidney health booster!
Let’s see it
This one is the Tropical Healthy Smoothie!
It’s rich in fiber and full of essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamins C and E, iron, selenium, and magnesium.
It is also very low in potassium and sodium so it’s suitable for any kidney disease patient,
How to make it?
The first ingredient is pineapple

Pineapple is really sweet and will make our smoothie taste good without the need for any sugar.
The only sugar in it will be the natural fructose from the fruits.
And I know that pineapple is just a quick snack for most people – it’s one of those fruits that’s not really in the news and you probably don’t think about all the benefits it has.
So what are the benefits of pineapple?
It’s really sweet, but quite low in calories, and that’s great for a renal diet!
Pineapples are a great source of various vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. The fruit contains high amounts of fiber, vitamin C, and manganese, which is important for proper brain and nerve function and plays a role in the metabolism of fat and carbohydrates, calcium absorption, and blood sugar regulation. It also has thiamin, a water-soluble B vitamin that helps cells change carbs into energy. Finally, fresh pineapple is well known in the realm of anti-inflammatory foods, as it contains bromelain, a protein-digesting enzyme that helps reduce inflammation in the body.
This particular protein-digesting enzyme, with a history of use in folk medicine, is today used as a meat tenderizer, in some medications and as a dietary supplement.
People have been using this enzyme for centuries thanks to its anti-inflammatory and pain reliever properties.
Bromelain is also very effective against high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.
So pineapple is not just really healthy, is also an excellent sweet component in smoothies – particularly vegetable-based ones that really need that boost of sweetness to be enjoyable
We will need: half cup of pineapple. I’ve already diced it, so let’s put it in the blender!
Then we need an orange, another really healthy source of vitamins!
Yes, oranges contain some potassium, so we are going to put in just a small one to avoid any troubles.
There’s just 170mg of potassium in a 100 grams orange like this one, making this smoothie suitable even for patients in the last stage of kidney disease.
Oranges are an excellent source of vitamin C. One orange offers 116.2 per cent of the daily value for vitamin C.
Good intake of vitamin C is associated with a reduced risk of colon cancer as it helps to get of free radicals.
Anti-oxidants present in oranges can also help in lowering cholesterol, keeping blood pressure under check and in controlling blood sugar levels.
And your kidneys can really benefit from these properties.

I’ve already peeled this one so let’s put it in the blender too!

The main ingredient for the Tropical Healthy Smoothie is kale.
Even just an handful of it will add some really useful fibers to our smoothie.
Kale Is Loaded With Powerful Antioxidants Like Quercetin and Kaempferol, Is an Excellent Source of Vitamin C, Can Help Lower Cholesterol, and May Reduce The Risk of Heart Disease.
Yes, kale is one of the healthiest plants in the world.
So let’s add it to our smoothie!
For this smoothie I’m using coconut milk, we will need half cup of it.

What is coconut milk?
Coconut milk is a tasty, nutritious and versatile food that is widely available. It can also be made easily at home.
Coconut milk comes from the white flesh of mature brown coconuts, which are the fruit of the coconut tree.
The milk has a thick consistency and a rich, creamy texture.
It’s different from coconut water because it contains a lot less water and it has more nutrients.
It’s full of important nutrients like manganese and copper.
It’s also a source of medium-chain fatty acids. These are healthy fats and will balance the sugars present in the fruits of this smoothie, making it a really healthy breakfast choice!
Including moderate amounts in your diet may boost your heart health and can help lowering cholesterol and reducing inflammation.
Yes, this superfood is really good for the health of your kidneys and will also make our smoothie tasty and creamy!
But remember that half cup of coconut milk has about 270 milligrams of potassium, which is not really a lot, but you should count it if you have a potassium allowance.

Add the coconut milk for last, and don’t put it all at once.
Dumping in all of your milk, juice, or coconut water right away could leave you with a too-thin smoothie.
So we add half the liquid now and…
Start blending everything together. Now I’ll probably cut the part where I blend the ingredients, but you should really take your time when making a smoothie.
Yes, smoothies are quick but it doesn’t mean blending for 3 seconds.
We’re talking more about 1 to 3 minutes.
So, let’s start blending the ingredients with half the coconut milk and just a couple of ice cubes…
and see if you like the consistency.
Pour in more as needed.
Our ingredients for this one were ½ cup pineapple, 1 small orange peeled, ½ cup coconut milk, an handful of kale.
Pour into a glass and serve right away.
Here we go, our Tropical Healthy Smoothie is ready! Let’s see what it tastes like!
Mmm, I like it, I can definitely taste the pineapple in it and…

Did you try my kidney health breakfast smoothie? Let me know how it turned out by leaving a comment below… and it would be great if you could give a like to this video too! Thank you!

But let’s see our number 4 healthiest smoothie now!
The ingredients in this smoothie are loaded with nutrients that will help your body supporting the natural detoxing function of the kidneys!

And it is… my Green Apple Detox Smoothie!
This Detox Smoothie is like drinking a liquid vitamin! The ingredients in this particular smoothie are carefully chosen to gently help your body in naturally flushing out the toxins from the kidneys while supporting your health and vitality.
This one is going to be really healthy, let’s see how to make it!
First we need a green apple! This particular apple is lower in sugar than the red variety, and apples, in general, may help in a kidney cleanse because they reduce the feeling for hunger.
One study has shown that eating an apple a day may be almost as effective as taking a statin drug at reducing the risk for heart disease.
The pectin that apples contain acts as a prebiotic and may promote the growth of good bacteria in your gut, too!
But to get all these benefits we will want to put the apple in the blender with the peel!
Do not remove the peel because that’s where half of the dietary fiber and most of the vitamins of the apple are!
Ok, so we are going to cut the apple in four slices so we can remove the core easily… and we put the slices in this plate for now while we get the blender.
And add some lemons drops on them to prevent them from going dark.
oh, I forgot it, I only have one blender… let’s clean it up very quickly
Here we go, let’s put the slices in… you can even dice them to make it easier to blend them together.
Our second ingredient is the juice from half lemon.
Lemons are high in vitamin C, fiber, and various beneficial plant compounds.
It’s really great for the kidneys and support heart health.

Then we are going to need some spinach! Just one cup or about 30 grams. We are talking about a few leaves.
Ok ok, I know that a lot of people here cannot have spinach in their diet because of the potassium!
So if you’re in stage 4 or 5 of chronic kidney disease and need to limit potassium, replace spinach with kale!
But remember that there’s just about 150 milligrams of potassium in this quantity of spinach and that spinach has impressive health benefits!
A study found out that eating a soup made with about 9 ounces of spinach for just 7 days improved blood pressure in the participants!
The study observed that the spinach soup significantly reduced both systolic and diastolic blood pressure thanks to dietary nitrates, compounds that increase blood flow.
Both spinach and kale also contain cancer-fighting compounds, which have been shown to decrease the growth and spread of cancer cells several studies.
Also spinach is much easier to drink in smoothie form than kale so use it if your renal diet doesn’t forbid you to.
Also remember that everything that’s in this smoothies, carbs, potassium… even water should be counted in your allowance if your doctor gave you an allowance.
Our last ingredient is half cucumber.
This ingredient is really healthy for our kidneys, it’s low in calories but really rich in vitamins and minerals.
It contains certain plant compounds and antioxidants really useful in helping with the kidney detox.
There are even studies showing that cucumbers may even help in reducing blood sugar levels and preventing some of the complications associated with diabetes, making it a great help in fighting kidney disease.
Cut the cucumber in quarters lengthwise then slice off the inner corner of each one to remove the seeds.
Roughly chop it then add to the blender along with the remaining ingredients.
Add half cup of water to make it a little bit less dense…
Blend on high until smooth, transfer to a jar or a glass, then let the detox begin!
If you don’t have a high-speed blender, I recommend blending the spinach with some water first, to help break them down completely. Then add in the fruit and lemon juice, and blend again.
So the ingredients for the Green Apple Detox Smoothie were: 1 green Apple, half lemon juice, one cup spinach, half cucumber and half cup of water.
Mmm this looks amazing… let’s taste test it!
It’s a little bit bitter but I was expecting it, since there’s no sugar in it. I still like it a lot and I hope you’ll like it too!
As I was saying, this is going to be really good as a part of a detoxing program, so watch my video about the best kidney detox here if you want to know more about how to cleanse the kidney!

Ok, that’s was our last one for today! But don’t worry, I’ll publish the second part of this video this Friday!
